Blue and His Beloved Mirror

Post by Spreckles » Mon Jan 04, 2016 9:20 pm

Babs Elana and all welcome to comment.

Caught a few pictures tonight. Blue is calm and unruffled. He seems to like a 40 watt bulb. It's night time so the hens are on the clutch together. Will try and catch a few pics of the girls during the day. Sadie the PS is almost never off of those eggs. I hope she gets her chance to eat. They are finally pecking at the fresh food!!!!! I am crushing up the dried meal worms over the hard boiled eggs and shells with millet sprinkled on that too. The things I am doing for these birds!!!! I think I would rather dump a bed pan than tough worms but I just don't look at them. YUCK.

How cute is that! I love CB's....they are the sweetest things! I used to feel the same way about the mini mealworms that I got for my birds. You will get used to it. My birds LOVE them so don't deprive your babies! They will love you for it!

Love the pictures, Karen. So glad that you finally managed to post them on here.

Your guys are adorable, and I just love Blue and his mirror.

I have the same mirror in my Budgie cage, and my Freebee, loves it as well.

Blue is so cute, especially with his mirror! I actually like handling live mealworms better than grinding up freeze dried ones...it's the smell of those things after I'm done grinding that just makes me sick to my stomach. I mix that in with my egg food, and I also use several insect mixes to add to the egg food for my insect eating finches, and that smell is unbearable too. Yes, the things we do for our birds, but it's worth it in the long run
