Blue would be honored to have a name sake of Bleu as in Cordon Bleu. Besides if he fathers children in his old age I may change his name to Abraham.
They really are tiny little birdies aren't they? So precious. Get them a MIRROR =))

All the best,
Karen

Thanks Karen.

I was hoping you wouldn't mind such similar names for our two boys. I just had blueberries on my mind, and I thought, how appropriate :D

They really are cute little birdlings.

I really hope you manage to get at least one clutch with 'Blue- genes' in them eggs.

Makes more sense than my names. I let the kids name them and I have Specks (because of the red cheeks) and Buttercup (which only makes sense in the mind of a 9 year old girl).
A pair of Gouldians, Red Cheeked CB's, Orange Cheeked Waxbills, Javas, and Cutthroats. And, two canaries. And, 3 kids, a dog and a patient, patient husband.

lovezebs I'm not sure but I can tell you it was the last time I let my kids name a bird!

I agree with Cindy! I want to shop where you shop. Wish our pet stores here had the variety of birds you find there. Not only do we not have that type of pet shop, but breeders of different varieties are hard to find close to home.

Hope you have lots of Blue Babies soon!!!!!!

Elana

Good morning and how are your Bleu Berries this morning? It's really amazing how abundant your bird supply is where you live. Yesterday at our pet store I met a woman who is a new employee. She is a bird lover!!! She gave me some info to track down through face book on breeders fairly close as in So LA and some in MS.

But for now I am anxiously awaiting my little clutch and hoping my dear Old Blue is not too old. The two of them are sure lazy birds leaving the bulk of the sitting to Sadie. I barely see her! I hope she comes out to eat!!!!! My persistence in offering the fresh food is paying off they are eating it now. Now I get why people love a Socie butt they are wonderful mothers.

I did order one more flight cage like the one I have the price was so right. I'll stack them and set the tall one up some where else to be my quarantine cage.

After we know if we have baby blue infants or not will get some Socies for Sadie she deserves it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your eggs, Karen.

Yes, my Pet Shop here is Indeed a wonderful place. You can actually look it up on line (Pisces Pet Emporium, in Calgary, Alberta), you might enjoy some of the pictures and articles. I think they are also on face book.

With most of these small flight cages, you can actually remove some walls, attach them together, and make much bigger flights (either length wise or height wise). I've done that a few times and it works really well.

Have a good day.
