It takes a few days of confidence for the males to start singing. And if they are very young, then you will hear them practice their song quietly for about a month.
It will be fun for you to listen and see who is who.

I knew my grandmother very well, she lived to be 99. She wouldn't have had any birds in the house that is for sure.
