He's a doll....
And I just noticed from the pictures, that the little imp, has slipped his band once again.

Not sure of you tried but most times of you reduce the protein level the hens stop laying.
Good luck

I have tried, but she still lays.
I don't want to cut back on it too much, because they are still feeding the piglet. He's only 29 days old.
As soon as he's further along the weaning process, I will move them out of the breeding cage (which should do the trick, I hope ). This is BB's first season, and I don't want to wear her out .

Yes, little babe is a growing sausage.
I did a trial run yesterday.
I took BB, Pim, and Uno, and placed them in the flight with the big kids.
It was a mistake.
When Uno, started begging, some of the older Juvies decided to peck at him, and parents stopped feeding. The only one that wanted to feed him, was VeeVee, (my Blue girl), but he wouldn't accept food from her.
After an hour of this, I transported the little family back into a smaller cage... Uno, was extatic, being stuffed by both Mom and Dad once again, lol.
Uno, is 33 days today.

What do you call the brightly cooked modules by his beak? Is that what color he will be? Such a fat healthy baby!

The four little nodules at the corners of their mouths, reflect light, so that the parents can find their hungry mouths in dark nests.
Different mutations have different colored nodules.

VeeVee wants to feed everyone.
I hope she chooses a mate next season. It will probably just be another week and he will be eating all on his own. BB & Pim are great parents.

Yes, BB and Pim, are very good parents (being in their first breeding season). I'm especially proud of them raising a singleton sausage as well as they have. A lot of parents, wouldn't have bothered.
Uno, is mostly eating on his own now. Hopefully he'll be ready to face the big kids in a few more days.

If I remember right, Uno (if he's a he), can be red head , yellow (orange) head, or black head...white breast...green back.
Now if Uno, turns out to be Una..... I do believe she will be, a red head, or yellow (orange ) head...white breast...green back.
That's all I know, lol. I'm sure our Debbie, will smack me with the Spray Millet if I got it wrong
