Good day Friendly Finchers...
You won't believe this, I can hardly believe it myself.
This morning, I went to poke a freshly washed perch into the Society flight. It was being a bit stubborn, so I attempted to pull it out, so that I could get it in between the bars properly.
Well wouldn't you know it..... I totally forgot Max's new Villa (which sits on top of this flight)
With a tumble and bang, down came Max's new home, bounced off the top of my head and went crashing to the floor below.
For a second I was stunned, then looking at the awful mess on the floor, I cried: "Max!!!"
Hoping against hope, I started picking up stuff, and lo and behold, out of the ruins of his new home, comes a little white bird and starts motoring across my kitchen floor.
I almost cried, as I chased him around, finally scooping him up, all wet and disheveled, (but no worse for wear) and kissed the top of his little fuzzy head.
The indomitable Max said 'beep', and tried to bite me.
Gotta love this guy.

My poor little guy, what next?
He went crashing 8 feet down to the floor, after bouncing off my head, landing with his house, dishes, rocks that were holding his water tube in place, fake plants, seeds and heavy ceramic bathtub all on top of him.
How on earth did he survive, I don't know.
It would be like a person falling off a high rise building.
He is now safe and sound, back in his new (resembled ) home. Back on top of the world, sitted much more securely on top of the flight. Last I saw, he was sunning himself under the warm lamp, looking comfortable and unscathed, sigh...

I don't know about indestructible, but this litte guy has definitely had more than his fair share of trouble.
