New Decour
Hi all. I'm sure you all know how when bringing home New birdies one likes to spruce up the cage a little bit to accommodate them. My new little gold breasts need their privacy so I thought I would add a few nests hidden behind greenery. One of the nice things about this flight cage is the depth allows me to do it without taking all the flying space. It gives them a lot of places to play and hide.

It looks beautiful Kyle, and I'm sure your tiny couple will appreciate it. They are really really cute.
Yes, the size difference is quite amazing. We don't realize the difference, until we see them side by side with a bigger bird. Kinda makes me laugh, because I used to think Sparrows were tiny, now when some of the outdoor crew park themselves outside my window, they look huge beside the indoor kids, lol.
Have fun and enjoy

Great idea to supply that much foliage, with lots of hiding places! I'm going to have to rethink how I decorate my F030 cages. As you said, with the extra depth (27"), there's lots of room still for them to fly.

It looks beautiful! I've finally gotten around to adding more foliage to my cages, but sometimes I have trouble finding any at a reasonable price.

That's why I'm always on the look out for another one (or two, or three, lol).
There was one on kijiji here just recently (for $100.00 bucks). By the time I responded, the lady had three people interested, and it was gone in the blink of an eye

Not super competitive but for that cage I would go the extra mile. Lol. I checked here all the time but I never see it in my Kijiji.

Re: New Decour
slwatson I wait for Hobby Lobby to have a 50% off sale on their foliage plants, and then I stock up. The Dollar stores do have them, but in my area, they don't have any that are very full. By the time I bought enough to cover the back of the cage, I could have gotten better ones at Hobby Lobby.

Re: New Decour
That looks Great! Where did you get your foliage? I usually get mine from craft store (michaels or joanne's) but as mentioned it gets pricey... and I only usualyl find Garlands, which there is nothing wrong with Garlands, but I would like some little plantings to stick out here and there.... Thanks for the Hobby Lobby tip! But what a great idea, and yes that cage look wonderful! Great job!

Thanks. All the plants that are in there are from the dollar store. There are a few vines and garlands but for the most part the background is made up of a cluster of leaves together. Where all the leaves join together makes a knot of plastic that I can slip behind the bars and it holds it tightly in place. Then I spread the leaves out. What I really like about this arrangement is it's easy to take the plants out to clean.
