New camera, New finch pictures
Hello everyone,
Been away for awhile, hope everyone is doing well. I recently bought a new DSLR camera and of course I had to take some pictures for practice of my gang of finches. Here's the link to the Google Photos album. I really liked the way they turned out.
All the babies are grown now and everyone is getting along famously in their big flight cage.
Let me know what you think of the pictures.

Bill, those pics came out awesome.
I love how sharp and clear they are even when I zoom in on them they don't get distorted.

Beautiful photos!
What kind of camera/lens did you use?
I have a dslr as well, but pics of my birds didn't turn out so well-really have been wanting to post some photos.

Beautiful birds and pictures! The fawn slices are such pretty colors. All the birds look so healthy. Your new camera is helping you get some fantastic shots!

It's a Nikon D3300. I used a Nikon AF‑S Nikkor 50mm F/1.8G prime lens and had the camera on a tripod next to the cage and used a Bluetooth shutter release so I didn't have to touch the camera while shooting. I also used dynamic focusing on the camera so as they moved in and out of the shot, it would auto focus on them without having to touch the camera in between shots. Which really helped with the clarity since there was no camera shake at all.
Of course the shots were very well lit with the lights that I have on top of the cage, so that helped.
