So Brat can sing: Oops! I did it again..... lol!

The babies are gorgeous, Babs :D .
How did they sneak this latest clutch by you?

Looks like your going to have to house these two separately, if you want to stop the baby train.

i caught the naughty birds on the self, I knew eggs would be on the way. They are not going to be allowed a shelf........and they were even trying to do it in the foliage :-T . I might have to take that away as well. O wish I had the space to place them seperately.

Poke your randy boys in with your Societies. They'll get along well, and maybe Cackle, can offer them some free singing lessons, lol.

With Ricco's good looks, who would even notice the singing?

The kids are looking great, being fed and almost fully feathered. She has 3 GB and 2 BB. They are very loud. The real test was when we ran the vacuum to clean yesterday.....she just calmly went about feeding the kids as normal.

We have normally been using the sweeper and broom during beeding (and it would take hours to get up the seed).

We ran the vacuum right by her cage and it didnt even phase her. Very happy about that, it made cleaning so much faster.

Heya Karen. I miss you guys too! The last few weeks have been getting over the flu and the lack of energy that is still following it. I've had just enough energy to make sure all the finch kids are well taken care of and to work my office job every day at home.

About the rehoming....ugh.... I haven't been diligent about posting anything on them after the first time weeks ago. I haven't been in the mood to have to meetup with anyone after being sick.

I have to say (rather selfishly), that I have been completely enjoying the juvies coloring up and becoming beautiful.......and their budding personalities. Going to be hard to part with most of them for sure. I think I am putting it off so I can just look at them some more. But sadly I must get on with it soon. I'll get some footage of those kids for y'all as well. 5 of them are coloring up very fast now.

I got an offer for all of my kids for $40 a piece  from a local petstore, where she then prices them in her store @ a $200 per pair. With all the work I did this season... I kindly told her .....um......hell no. [-X :-L Besides, her two gouldians she has look like they are going to have a heart attack in their tiny 12x12 cage sandwiched beside the canaries and the loud hook bills. I cant bear for them to go through that stress. I think it's better for my finches health to enjoy the spacious flight cages they have and the peacefulness our livingroom gives them until I find them "proper" homes.

Hammy is doing great and still completely hand tamed and has turned out beautiful now that her molt is finished.

Ugh the flu is awful. So glad you checked in though. Hope to see a few more pictures before they are gone. Kills me you are an ideal breeder and since we have no sources for Gouldians I will just enjoy every ones stories. :-BD
Do enjoy them you earned it. They all have different personalities. Just like us right? The forum isn't nearly as spicy without you and Elana going back & forth.
After all how can I stalk if there is nobody to evesdrop on? =)) =)) =)) :-@

Make some chicken broth.

Karen
