Im very proud of their first full clutch. Parents are doing a fine job. Brat now really digs niger seeds,. Here's the progress on the kids. 2 are blues.
First picture all the 5 kids, second picture with mom and 3rd pic is with Ricco showing their very full crops. Enjoy!! Very proud they did this all by themselves. Kids are going to make great parents one day.

Today will be day 7 since I pulled the youngsters out of their nest when mom & dad had stopped feedings, and forced them to fledge to put pressure on the parents. So everyday there has been that fear "will they stop feeding again today? Or will they neglect 1 or 2?"
Its been fun and nervewracking all at the same time. All the kids are starting to eat and drink on their own, so I am hoping we are in the clear.

Thanks Jen! I am hoping the get a purple breasted blue from these two blues. One that looks like Ricco to keep and breed with Hammy. The other two blues from Brat and Ricco are WB....the ones I had to foster because mom & dad abandoned.
