I have society finch babies!!!

It all started Sunday when I thought I heard a little peeping sound coming from Monday I never heard anything in Monday. Well this morning I heard what sounded like 2 different peeps. I couldn't take the suspense anymore. I rolled out their cage and took a look into the nest and what did I see?....4 babies . They are the cutest things. Now I just don't know what the heck I am going to do with all of them. I don't know anyone who would want them once they are ready to be taken. I have absolutely no room to add another cage in my house. I have a Prevue F030 flight cage that house my 4 society and now 4 babies. I don't want to sell them on Craigslist because I would rather know the person that buys them. I'm even picky on who I give fish to. I just like to know that they will be well taken care of. UGH...I just don't know what to do. I guess for now I will just enjoy those little peepers.

Congrats on the babies! You can always check with local mom&pop type pet stores, sometimes they will take them.

The F030, can comfortably house 8 Society finches .

However, what you need to do, is remove the nests out of the flight once the babies fledge. If you leave nests in with Societies, you will end up getting more and more and more Societies ( Societies, are the gift that keeps on giving).

Sally....I wish there were some mom & pop stores in my area. There were a few about 15-20 Yeats ago. It's sad that they are gone now.

lovezebs...I just might end up keeping them. I just feel bad to take out their nest because they look so stinking adorable and comfy in it.

You can put in little sleeping shelves for them to cuddle up on. There is nothing like a Socie pyramid building up as the evening rolls in, lol.
