No one else has popped out of the nest at this point, but I heard the fledgling screeching to be fed yesterday! I can't believe how great it looks already....I checked on it this morning and the feathers look great.

They come along amazingly well, if properly fed.

Did you check the nest?

I haven't checked it yet....the parents are so touchy, I'm afraid if they have anything else in there, they'll abandon it.

Nerine and jen, I hate to tell you but I didn't do all that much. If I remember correctly my pair would breed in spring. I would fix hard boiled egg for them( crushed up) on a plate for them. They loved it. I also had a 5.0 tropical bulb(zoo med) . I justed remembered that one. They were really picky about their nesting material. I hung up a wire ball( for guinea pig) at petsmart. Put the nesting material in it and placed it the middle of the cage . I can't really think of anything else. Hope this helps. -tam

I decided to check the nest Friday, and there were two infertile eggs left and no other hatchlings. I removed the nest, and as soon as this little cutie is weaned, I'll put it back in :D
