Update:Gouldian juvies during first molt

I took these pics yesterday of my five gouldian juveniles...they're molting and their colors are really showing!

The red head now has a light blue ring around the red...can someone tell me what that means?

Thanks for your reply! I was freaking out because he is developing a tiny hole on each cheek~~I found out those are his ears!! What a relief!

Shows how much I know about birds. I hand fed this little guy--it's amazing he survived ! He's beautiful, but I couldn't figure out how to post his picture. So tame he sits on my shoulder while I am blow-drying my hair:)

Do you have any recommendations for vitamins/best food? He doesn't seem to like veggies/snacks~
