Crazy birds ;)

Post by delray » Tue Jun 28, 2016 11:40 am

I recently bought a hideaway tent from http://www.glamgouldians.com . At first Phineas and Ferb were scared to go anywhere near it, but once we lured them in with spray millet, they went crazy for it! :D  You can see their tails at the end of each side! We were cracking up watching them go at it.

HI Bri,

How are you doing kiddo?

Most birdies seem to really like these things, and the Society in particular would enjoy it. I bet they'll be sleeping in there before you know it.

Hi Brian, how you doing,

It's quite funny really that how many people in the United States actually use birdie toys for their birds, even for finches and canaries

This is just something we never really do or see over here in the uk,

Maybe because we're more interested in breeding and exhibiting over here

I can perhaps see the sence in toys for perhaps parrot like birds but I suppose it's a case of each to their own

Hope yer birds like their hidy tent

One has to keep in mind, that many people world over, keep birds for pure enjoyment and companionship, not necessarily for breeding alone.

I think that the toys, greenery, branches, etc, have to do with enhancing life quality for our birds.
If we can make their environment more appealing and stimulating for them, they do appear to enjoy life more.

My crew, are not much for toys, other than swings, but love to play with and hide in the greenery. They also absolutely love fresh branches especially from apple trees, leaves, flowers and all.

Hi Elana,

I fully understand and know what yer saying,
I've always respected the way in how various people keep their birds and always will,

If we all done everything the same around the world I suppose that the knowledge would be somewhat boring

In truth I was more so just having a little harmless giggle
