Sally I don't know, maybe it's just me, but does it look like he is improving??

I see a tiny development in pin feathers, his wings are getting ready for them.

His stomach is not as distended, so it seems, and maybe the fluid has gone down?? It just doesn't look like there's as much in there but i mean it couldnt have gone anywhere either right?

finchlover24 I think you are right, I compared this last photo to the previous ones, and it does look like the abdomen is less swollen than before (he looked like it was about to pop before). It also looks like pin feathers are starting up on his wings. I am just getting caught up on this thread, was out of commission yesterday. You asked about the medistatin, which is usually used for a yeast infection. His poop doesn't look like he has a yeast infection, as poop gets really liquid and white when yeast is present. I tend to be very reluctant to use meds, because I rarely can identify what is going on, and the wrong med can be just as bad if not worse than the problem itself. As long as he is eating and pooping well, I don't know that there is anything else to do except keep on with what you have been doing, and please keep us all posted.

Sally I have this feeling that things aren't going too good. I really really want him to make it, but his stomach is just off.

It's not hard or rigid, it's like a normal stomach should be. But, that darn fluid is still in there and now theres this buildup along with it that floats around like a snowglobe.

His growth is very, very slow. As of tomorrow, he's closer to 2 weeks old. Maybe 1 week 5 days. Not really sure. But even at 4-6 days from my other baby, he had pin feathers ready to go and this society is just starting pins at close to 2 weeks.

His liver/gal bladder/black spot is still there which isn't good either. I read online that it could be a virus. He has so many things going against him :/ I have no idea how to help him.

Here are some photos from now:

Sally Update: Eyes are now open, tiny pin feathers coming in a bit more. There's also more of that white/yellow buildup going on in its stomach, not sure what that is. Eating and pooping normally.

If the eyes are just now opening, then I would say he is slow to develop, as most babies have eyes open way before they get any pin feathers. As long as he is eating/pooping normally, I guess that is all you can do for now.
