gouldian finch second clutch??
Hello friends, i have a question about breeding gouldian finch, my first clutch was a failure because only one chick survived and the pair didnt feed him as the result i lost him also, so i am thinking of breeding them again and hope this time they do good,so the question is how long it will take the gouldians to breed again

Hi, I can't really understand why your first clutch was not successful?
I started breeding Gouldians in January and if I did not stop them they would have continued far into the winter.
One of the main things I found that the pairs dislike is too many checks in the nest. (my birds do) Once the eggs have hatched try not to bother the nest too much. I have not lost one single chick to illness etc. and have transferred 20 plus to the flight cage. One juvenile was caught and beheaded through the mesh wire by a Butcher bird that is quite active in our area.
Good luck with your next clutch.
