beautiful birds, all the best with them :D

the red billed firefinch and the senegal firefinch are actually the same bird, they are two of the three names it is known by the third name is the common firefinch.

different types of firefinches include
African firefinch
Speckled breasted firefinch
Abyssinian firefinch
Brown firefinch
Landana firefinch
Masked firefinch
Vinaceous firefinch

another bird that is at times refered to as a firefinch is the
Black billed waxbill (black billed firefinch/black bellied firefinch)
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

They look good Liz, I am sure they will look even better once they have settled in. Looking forward to hearing about their personality and that strawberry song!

Speaking of that Strawberry song... he's been singing it almost everyday and I've thought "okay, that's nice". But last night he surprised me by doubling the length! WOW, now that's NICE!

Alia

My boy, is the first in the morning to start of the day with his singing (while it's still dark).

Regretably, his song is not the greatest, and tends to be repetitive in nature, but Mrs Strawberry absolutely loves it  .

By the way, how is your boy colouring up, do you have a picture of him?

Here's my little guy...
