kyle you are sooooo lucky they are adorable and your pictures came out perfect I love my little goldbreast, maybe some day I will give them a nest and try ,just wondering do you have that one pair in a cage all by therself when you bred them, mine are with a pair of red cheeked in 2 F030 cages put together.I wonder if I would have to separate them or would they both breed in the same cage if I put a nest at each end? what is your thought?

Barbara
Yes they are in their own 32" breeding cage. I've never had any success colony breeding. The birds seem to interfere too much with each other. I also give them freeze dried fruit flies and mealworms crushed up but their favourite is the blood worms.

kyle I remember in another post about all the freeze dried foods,I give them a mixture of ground up freeze dried (fish food) occasionally they will go to the bottom and eat it but always ignore it in a dish so at least once a week I sprinkle some at the bottom of there cage and the blues and goldbreast eat them,I figure to see if the like it just in case I ever wanted to try to breed them. Thanks for the info. and good luck with your babies
