Good evening everyone.
So, today I noticed that my zebra finch's right eye is strange, like having bags under her eye.
Could this be some illness? She's chirping ,and looks really energetic, , but her left eye is normal.
Maybe she accidentally hit herself in the age?
A photo attached.

a bit difficult to see... can you hold her and get a clear close up of the area and also check the nares to be sure there is no discharge or blockage

Re: Zebra Finch eyes
Tried to hold her, but I only have her since early this month, and I still can't catch her properly, I just don't want to stress her out, and I'm afraid she'll hurt herself while I'm trying to catch her. (hard to catch her even in the dark.cindy wrote: a bit difficult to see... can you hold her and get a clear close up of the area and also check the nares to be sure there is no discharge or blockage
No nasal discharge.
Another photo attached- left a photo from yesterday, right- a photo from earlier today.

okay, this was a stressful experience for both of us.cindy wrote: try catching and holding like this with her back in your palm...
I put several towers on the cage to make it dark, still , it took me more than 10 minutes to catch her.
The bottom of the right eye still looks strange.
She's fuzzy because I was really nervous not to hurt her accidentally , so my palms were really sweaty.

Re: Zebra Finch eyes
A little update.
The vet said there's no discharge , so it's not an infection, the bird looks healthy, it could be a foreign body under her lower eyelid. (the swelling is under her eyelid) She's not bothered by it at all, not trying to scratch it etc. I've contacted the breeder, maybe she can give me some advice , as the vet has no equipment to clean such a tiny bird's eye.
