If you had a 1/2" gap in the top of the aviary then you could mount the shade on top and pull it down through the gap

That was my idea James.. I'll try to post some pics of the 'grates' and vinyl netting this weekend.
2 polydactyl Snowflake felines and a new Panther non-poly feline.. Working on building the bloodline of the local Fawn Owls.
