Sick Gouldian Juvi

Post by Jen » Sun Dec 11, 2016 10:21 am

I found one of my Gouldian juveniles on the ground this morning. I noticed he had a dirty bottom. Is he too young to give meds? What do you suggest? Please advise. Thank you in advance!

Personally, I would clean up his little bum, and check to see if he's nice and plump. Next i would move him into a small cage with a nice soft bed, and offer the much appreciated heat lamp. I would place some fresh egg and spray millet close by, along with water.

When it comes to meds, I would recommend getting a hold of our Cindy , who is a lot more knowledgeable than I am in that department.

If she's not available, try checking on line at this link and other links of Laraine, to see if you can get some advice or information.

Good luck.
