Update:
I made a classic mistake of thinking all my birds were going to die yesterday... I woke up and one of the society finches pooped this massive dropping that reeked. So after a few hours of thinking about various diseases they could have, I realized that the bird was in the nest overnight, hence the big dropping in the morning. I was still freaking out about the smell, though. I went over looked at the flight carefully, and found that a bit of broccoli had fallen in the water dish overnight and thus caused the odor. I cleaned out the dish and everything is back to normal. Nobody's dying. Yay!

Glad to hear that all is well, lol.
When the girlies, are laying and nesting, they do have huge poopies.

Icearstorm, Rena's is on 17/92 in Longwood. He has great prices and is a super nice guy.
I have one gouldian hen that is a little off too. She can't fly if she gets even a little wet. She still tries and *thuds* to the ground. It's like watching that video game "Duck Hunt". She hits the ground like a sack of potatoes.
My gouldians love boiled egg yolk (they only eat the yolk...??) and greens so I also say "not true"!

Thank you! I'll have to try feeding egg yolk, as the gouldians showed no interest in the scrambled egg. My society finches like greens, but I have never seen the gouldians touch them, either.

Re: How long to quarantine?
Icearstorm, none of my birds will entertain scrambled eggs. I have been boiling eggs and cutting them in half. The birds eat the yolks first and will sort of peck at the egg whites. The gouldians eat broccoli. They aren't interested in any other greens but they will eat broccoli.

I've given them broccoli before, but only the society finches ate it. I suppose I will put the broccoli in a few different locations this time.
