That's good news.
How long has it been since the accident?

Hey lovezebs

He's doing great, considering the circumstances! He is indeed flying, although I don't know how much his flight has been affected (since he's in the smaller cage). I'm not sure how long I should keep him in this cage, before I test something larger. He was getting very lonely, so I buddied him up with one of my females who is going through a HORRENDOUS molt. She'd been alone too, so it was beneficial for both birds.

The 4 goulds I have at this location (my father's) are all looking ratty with their current molt, but this female and my other male are just outrageous.

Anyway, he is much happier now, that's for sure. I was treating him for scaly mites when this all happened, too! That's still a work in progress. Poor guy has been through a lot.

You can definitely see that his wing is off-kilter, so I don't really understand how he is able to fly at all. I also noticed that while preening, he can't really extend his wing fully in the way that he used to. Nonetheless, he's got some nice morale and has improved a lot :)

These are from yesterday. You can see the wing droop more visibly here.

GouldieFledge

It actually doesn't look all that bad.

I wonder what it will look like after he goes through a full molt and replaces his wing feathers.

If he can fly at all that's a good sign. To me it says that there wasn't a major break.
Glad that he has a companion and doesn't have to be all alone.
