How exciting! I'm forever waiting on eggs too, these days.

JillM

Start buying some tiny cigars for Fitzy to hand out, you should be hearing a bit of a commotion in the next few days.

I am never quite sure if they are happy or shocked when the egg babies start hatching...
It's like "yay, babies!" =D> ... but also a little, "what happened to my beautiful eggs?"

Good luck!!!!

lovezebs I'm sure it doesn't help that the babies look like Voldemort at the end of the Harry Potter series!

MisterGribs

Sorry, but I'm afraid I'm not a 'Harry Potter' fan, lol. More of a 'Lord Of The Rings' and the 'Dragons of Pern' fan.

Now I'll have to look up Voldemort

lovezebs Ohhhhh yeah dragonriders of Pern!! I used to have so many of those books. I loved the special books they would release about pern itself, and all the little creatures that lived there, and the ecosystem.

Good times.

Here's that pic for posterity lol

MisterGribs

Yikes!!!

No, I think they see something more like this...

Regarding the Dragons of Pern, I actually have some Gouldians named after characters from the series, lol.

Hahaha!
Well last night, a first occurred - no hatchlings but found all 4 finches snuggled up with in Fitz &Lolly's nest together! My "newbies" had been using the other nest but seems they have b come one big happy family and decided to share the little nest! 4 finches and 5 eggs in a tiny nest! Lol

JillM That is so cute.. My zeebs don't share a nest, but they stopped chasing each other almost completely and all get along happily for the most part.

I wish they would all snuggle up, that would be so great! But it's against their nature, lol.
