It's believed that with the atmospheric air temperature change that it can affect the air space within the egg aswell as killing the embryo,

However this discussion is normally spoken about with poultry and game eggs but to be perfectly honest I've not once ever experienced any problems with any of me birds eggs over the years during thunderstorms [-o<

Here we also hear it, especially from the elders.

What actually happens is that sometimes during a very bad thunder storm the birds get scared and fly off in despair, and if they were brooding they are unable to return to their nests in the dark, consequently the eggs will chill and the embryos will die.

So, it is a myth with a bit of true.

In hind sight this could be more realistic and would be the obvious answer to anyone who does discover that the eggs have been affected,

Exactly the same sought of sinario where foreign bird, zebra finch, society and budgie breeders who breed during the winter months face the problems with bonfire / guyfawks night where birds get seriously disturbed because of fire works and come off the nest.

The only tip that I could give is if one knows of a storm coming then I'd surgest in leaving yer birdroom / avairy lights on during the night until it passes and then just leave a dim night light on for the remainder of the night :-BD

najione@icloud.com really, the only way it can effect any egg is if you are incubating and the power goes out.
I currently own:
An Australian shepherd
Many chickens
4 goats
A cat
And a bunny
