My finches are currently set up in 30x18x18 cages in the garage with an evaporative unit to keep the temperature down and the humidity up. We're hitting the high temperatures here in Arizona lately, and the garage is typically about 80-90F throughout the day.
I typically don't let my zebra finches breed in the middle of the summer, however, one of my pairs managed to hide an egg after I thought I had collected them all. Now I have a zebra hatchling who has been thrown from the nest twice in one day and I've tried to resettle it with my society finches to adopt.
While I have hand raised new hatchlings before, I simply do not have the time since I gave birth to twins last month. My question is if I wanted to give the hatchling the best chance of survival, should I bring the society finches+hatchling in from the garage? Or would the abrupt change of temperature/environment be too much?

Biscuits
I don't think heat should be a big issue, as long as there is air ciculation and plenty of cold water both for drinking and bathing.
Good luck with the wee one.
