Video, peak into my birdroom
Another clumsy video , but a peak into my bird room. Pics of the molted offspring all molted and beautiful, rehomed in the thread later.

Aww thanks! Andiok, the two large cages that housed the adults in the back have now been converted into a double flight so my bonded pairs can exercise in the off season. The javas are in my office.
The living room is huge. The other side of the room has the loveseat and couch, Ronan's big old parrot cage and his big play tree.
Bill & his buddy built that lovely wooden breeders shelf.
Good narrator? hahaha. One of my older videos I said "very" so many times I annoyed myself.
But I just shoot the video and post it. I dont have time to do it over.
Elana, honey I am so proud of my pairs that produced.
Even if Brat tossed 3 babies out of her 3 clutches, overall she was a good momma this year and raised all the rest right to weaning. Now I'm trying to get the yellow back male I purchased bonded with a female, but two females later...no go. I'm waiting for the last hens to color up to see if I get a "love connection". Wish me luck, he is a picky bird. I have a gorgeous BH PB GB in with him now and she is completely hot for him. He's like whatever

You are right about that. The last female, Jet and Bubble's BH PB BB gal....oh he wanted her, but she was like ...."um please get me outta here!"
She's now in the adult flight. So I think he's pouting.
She is GORGEOUS and shes purple breast, her father is lilac, so their breast color looks identical and its hard to tell Jet and her apart.

I think you are reading my mind as usual.
I've been pondering putting him the the double flight with her, as she is the only bird not paired up.
Hopefully she will take to him in time that way.

You really have a wonderful setup.
Have you thought about adventuring in some hard to keep species?? Honeycreepers amaize me and I've seen some people in fb recently breeding them with success.
There is other types that would perfect in your setup

I think my bar spacing is too wide on the double flights. They are 1/2 inch spacing. I really like all the flights to match, and Im not sure if they sell this model with smaller bar spacing.
I would LOVE trying out honeycreepers. Let's see how well I do with my new Java species. ;)
After a bit I might branch out, and I try it later and after I do a few months of research before hand too.
Thanks for the faith you have in me.

I'd opt for Tanagers, and a bigger house, lol, or park Bill and the kid in the garage to get more bird space

Babs
are you kidding me
you have done so well with the gouldians and with so much care and devotion that with javas you'll be overcrowded in about 2 months. Trust me on this. I think i might pass the Java care to my 6yrs old this month. hahahahaha.
Babs really... with the care and the setup you have please try with hard species. I am 100% sure that any kind of those species will thrive in your house. And please dont get me wrong, gouldians and javas are wonderful but the emotion you have from being successful with hard species is enormous and you deserve that.
You just have to find a good home to some of your guys (heartbreaking though) and you can buy a pair of honeycreepers (not sure why im so attracted to those buggers)
pics to remind you how pretty they look. hahahah
but really look at the crested guy

Tanagers are magnificent, and I think Babsi definitely needs some...
Just look at some of these beauties.
Oops sorry, just drooled a little bit...
