I must admit, 20 aviaries would be great to visit, but not to have to maintain. But 3 aviaries is just about right!
So you have a spare room for me? Or can I pitch a tent out in one of them? hahaha

Marius, have you been holding out on us? When did these other two aviaries go up? Last we heared there was one aviary, now there are three?
We need some pictures of course.
Congratulations on a wonderful breeding season

lovezebs I have had 3 aviaries for several years now. A few years ago, I split my large 6 meter aviary into 2 X 3 meter aviaries. The other one is a leftover of when I had my aviary against the wall between me and my neighbour (the one behind me, that reported me to the Health Authorities for having an aviary too close to the property line). I left it empty for a while and then put a few pairs of gouldians into it. I have some plans to extend that aviary and to split it into 4 aviaries for breeding gouldians.

Babs Babs, you are thinking of an outside aviary like it is an inside one. An outside aviary requires very little work. You can put large seed and water feeders in and only go into the aviaries when you want to looks inside the nests or when you give the birds special treats. I go inside my aviaries 2 to 4 times a day, but I can go away for 10 days and everything would still be fine.
