Can someone plz tell me how to make a brooder or a simple way to describe one I read one thread but unsure on that one

There is a sticky thread above.

But in a nut shell, the one I made and use:
- Baby wipe warmer (from the local department store)
- Thermostat (from eBay)

Without the thermostat, it was too difficult to keep the temp stable with a dimmer. The temp would rise or fall, and I could not figure out why.

The baby wipe warmer is plugged into the thermostat.
The temp sensor for the thermostat is put into the warmer.
Then the thermostat controls the temp inside the warmer.

You MUST test this out in advance, as it may require tinkering with the settings of the thermostat to get a reasonably stable temp (mine did).

I put a layer of towel on the bottom of the warmer.
Then the dish for the hatchlings/chicks is placed onto the towel.

Warming, it can take more than an hour for the setup to get up to proper temperature. A COLD dish will suck out heat from the hatchling, and that is NOT good.
