hey i dont know how i missed this one.
you're talking about my birds here
those are goldfinch mutations mostly coming from the subspecies of Carduelis Cardueli, the Carduelis Major (Siberian Goldfinch)
There are a lot of mutations of the goldfinch now, with the yellow being my favorite

I've breed them for about 5yrs and then just gave up on them because they have absolutely no quality of their song.
Yes, they are beautiful but no song.
I mixed them with the smallest size of european goldfinches, Carduelis Tschusii but the song didnt really get better so got rid of them.
And yes Stuart is right, they go up to $1200 for rare mutations.
The other kind that you've posted though from that greek forum, is what i kept breeding. Those are the pied european goldfinches and the pic you have posted there is a total pied white european goldfinch. This guys have nothing to do with the satines, lutinos, or albino siberian goldfinches.
They come from nature are not mutations. They have leucistic genes in them and show them as pied birds, mostly white throated pied.
Check my first posts in here and you'll see a lot of my pied birds in there.
here is some of them in an old video with bad quality.sry
