Lots of Societies ...

I have been buying Societies since around the end of February. Unbelievably, I now have 12 Society finches and of those, 2 are female and only 1 of those is interested in nesting. She and her mate are sitting on 5 or 6 eggs. Where are all the hens? I obviously haven’t found them. I hope I can pick up some in Orlando next Sunday. If not, my hope rests in my nesting pair. Good thing I really love Societies. Lots of singing going on!

Wow! That’s so cool that you have lots of societies! What colors do you have? I’d love to get some societies some time! But problem is I can’t find any! They sound so cute and apparently they make great parents! I hope all goes well with your nesting pair so that you get baby societies!

That’s about how many Zebs I have at the moment.

Flight Feathers Thanks, I’m hoping for some baby Societies. They just started sitting, so it will be awhile. The pair is a couple of chocolate pied. The rest are a mixture of colors. Some, I’m really not sure of. Too bad you can’t find any where you live. They are fun to have.

Yes I haven’t stopped hunting for societies yet tho! I know you can get them here, it’s just a matter of finding them!! Even Zebs sell out quick here! Your societies sound really cute, I hope you get lots of babies! How long is incubation period for societies? How old do they have to be before they are weaned?

Fraza Well, the breeding pair are in their own cage. I could just imagine how it would be if that nest box was in the flight! They would all want in there. I have different color mutations: Chocolate and Fawn selfs (or pretty near), some others I think are dilutes, and there are different pieds. I love them all.

Finch&Budgie yes they are amazing to have I have a mixture have some whites some chocolate sleds some grey pearls and some pieds and an almost self fawn

An yes that’s true I think you shud just buy another 10 girls and let them all be together lol hahahahah
