Rayray .. seed names and suppliers out there

Post by FireFinchMayhem » Tue Mar 03, 2009 12:19 am

Hey Ray,

I was wondering if you had a chance to look up the names of the seed mixes and suppliers you get out there in Europe.

Curious to see what you are feeding your little guys.

well *witzaad* in english i don't know , the latin name is Phalaris canariensis .... its the white seeds mostly used in canary food .

i have to say that i add on 10 pounds seeds about 2 pound wild grass seeds ( available in stores here for about 3 us dollars )

Thanks Ray.

Looks like witzaad is just plain canary. Thanks for the latin name on it.

Good to hear you are adding wild grass seed. I've been trying to source some locally as I had already thought of doing it as well.
