Here is a catcher I made using a cat food container just made it but it seems to catch most of the hulls so far,I don't normally use the metal bowl but it works a couple birds will get on it at a time it just hangs on the cage bars.I will remove the label if it works out

HAHAHAHA... Sweet.
I gave up on preventing the mess. I just have a little micro handheld vacuum thingamajigger and i go once over every night before i put them to bed and then do a massive room clean every weekend.
Goulds, Owls, Gold Breasts, Stars, Zebras, Societies
An obscene number of chicks and eggs
And an incredibly rare St. Goldena Breast finch
Anyone want some finches???

nice idea, be good for live food as well any the birds drop would be very easy for them to find again. even Liz wouldnt have to worry about mealworms running away

Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Very ingenious B Camp! You and my Hubby think a lot alike...you both find a way to put household items to good use.
