The type of feeder I use

hi there this the type i use it costs $40 and it hold bout 4-5kg of seed

thats a ripper to.i have a couple of them in storage.bought from a sellout.but did not come with a bottom. now i know what they come with.

That's a great one also Fincher.. :)

I really like the idea of a bulk feeder and a husk collector. I'm working on a design to have the feed box outside the aviary and the feeding 'trough' inside and a way to remove the husks from outside also. I'll post some pics when I finally get to it.

If I could only figure out a watering system similar to that, i'd be set. Any suggestions?

i have seen ones like that.i have thought about changing mine one day to the same.But it would be a major expence.The husk collector was funnel shaped under the feeder so all seed husk fell to a round tube,which then went through the door into a calico bag tied onto the tube.Alowing it to be collected in the laneway.You would also need a wire floor on in the funnel allowing the seed only to pase.
