I finally bought a pair of zebra finches and really love them. Got two Florida Fancy zebra males. They have plenty of energy, are eating really well and seem very happy. The one thing I noticed on one of them is that his wings seem to droop down when he is sitting still. In other words, they are not sitting in line with the body. The tips that sit down by the tail will droop down. When he is moving around, they line up along the body fine. He isn't puffed up and is not acting sick at all. He seems perfectly normal. So my question is, are the droopy wings a sign of stress, malnutrition from the store I bought them from, is he a young bird (don't think this is the case because he has his adult coloring) or is he going through a molt? Any thoughts? Thanks!
I posted this picture I found on Google and circled the tip of the wing that I'm talking about that droops on my bird. It sort of resembles what mine is doing.
