wow that looks awesome! I wish I had thought about making my aviary sooner, I have friends vacationing in Florida right now and I could have had some wire shipped to them. Unfortunately shipping to Canada is ridiculous, you end up paying as much if not more for shipping as you do for the product

I've tried to no avail to find a source here in Canada too and I've come up with nothing

Hopefully the plastic mesh I found looks half as good as yours

I know exactly how you feel!

When my brother came over to assemble mine, we had to move everything out of my little birdroom and even then barely had enough room to work.

Your aviary is looking fantastic. Once you get it all put together and the birds moved in, you'll wish you had done this years ago!

Finchlet, now I'm jealous!. I have 4 large cages & 6 smaller (as in not as tall) flight cages set up in my living room. I keep moving stuff out to put in more cages. I think it might be time 2 go for the aviary. That is just gorgeous!

Wow if mine turns out half as nice looking as yours I'll be happy. I've gotta remember to show John your (and others) pictures of the aviaries.

Thanks you guys! This has sure turned out to be a bigger project than I thought it was going to be. It has also become somewhat of an obsession. But I am almost done. I am just waiting for the acrylic glass to arrive next week sometime. Here is a picture of the almost finished product. I need to stain the base. We used those magic slider stick on things instead of wheels. It slides across the tile really nice. I also need to decorate the inside. Thats going to be the fun part!

Final resting place of the finch mansion. I gave myself a good half a foot of extra space, and somehow it barely fit with millimeters to spare! Phew!

Hey TammieB I noticed in a picture that you posted you use those lixit type water bottles. How ever did you get your birds to drink out of them? It would really be nice to have those on the outside of the cage. I had some similar ones that i tried, they didn't have the little metal ball. I was afraid to leave them as the only source of water because i never saw the birds drinking out of them.
