OK thanks Sally. I sprout for myself occasionally but didn't know if the sprouts needed some sun for more of a green sprout. I'll just focus on normal sweet sprouts.

He didn't eat well today. I hope he makes it overnight. I'm keeping the light on the cage to give him warmth when he needs it which is most of the time.

He's still alive. He's still puffed up, some days he sems more distressed than others. It's just an enigma. He's been standing near the light in the past 2 days. He ate some sprouted seeds yesterday. he eats the Abba egg food ok but prefers the millet. I just don't know what to make of it.

Sorry no one has been able to help you with this. I've never seen one with this problem. On the video, he is certainly still active and vocal, but he definitely looks sick. To tell the truth, I'm surprised he has lasted this long, as finches usually either get better pretty fast, or they don't make it.

Yes he's still struggling although I think he's slowly losing. His bottom bill is slightly jutted out as he gasps but he is STILL eating some. Poor lil feller I feel oh so sorry for him I just want to hold him to give comfort but I know that's not his idea of security.

I'm sorry to hear he's not improving but you are keeping him as comfortable as you can.

Today he's looking quite chipper. I'm continuing to give him millet, fresh water & the soft cooked cereal (Abba egg food).
