That is a very good price on the owls. They sell here for 60-80 dollars each.

Aren't those goldfinches agressive? I do not think you can put them with owls.

I'd ask some questions at the petshop, as that is super cheap for Owls. Could they be brother/sister? My Owls tend to be timid with other birds, even though I have mostly passive species. I would be careful putting them with a pushy species.

Im good freinds with the store owners, and if i have the owls with the gold finches whats some bad things that could happen?

and they have a preety big collection of finches.
they have the cuban finch ($300 a pair), and those are hard to find
and i think im sure the gold finches are hard to find also.

The gold finches could beat up on the owls, chase them incessively, pluck them and possible kill them. Owls are very timid, shy and passive.
If you put them together please watch them carefully and even then after a while the trouble could begin.

My birdstore specializes in the European Goldfinch, he has Siberians, and another one I forget. They are pretty big birds, much bigger then most of the other finches. They are very active and jumpy from what I can tell. I would keep them by themselves personally.

I agree, I would not keep the Gold Finches together with the owls. They are more than twice the size of the Owls and I believe are best kept with their own species.
I have always seen Gold Finches housed separately.

I would think of maybe pairing some Orange Cheeks or Orange Breast waxbills with the Owls if you can find them :)

The European Goldfinches are not that big, about 4", but the Siberian and Himalayan are a bit bigger 5". The Europeans are great singers, but I do think they are a bit pushy. Let me know how they fare with the Owls. I have been contemplating getting a pair, but didnt want to chance the safety of my other passive birds. Good luck.
