My Gouldie is cleaning house????

Post by FrenchieFinch » Mon May 11, 2009 8:28 pm

Hi everyone, Happy Monday,

My pair of Gouldians are curious lot, can someone decipher what the female is trying to tell me? The finches are in their original cage which they came with when I bought them..there is a nest in there, and I offered nesting material for a couple weeks with no takers, and since the male is going through a molt, figured they didn't want/need it.
I cma home today to find all the old nesting material which was in the nest since they were with their original owner NEATLY PILED on the other side of the cage, on one of the lower perches. I am a bit amazed that it is all clumped together, on a perch, like she neatly stacked it!!! What is the nest move? should I take that out of the cage? Leave it in and offer new nesting material?
I find this part cute, and totally amazing....any tips?
thanks in advance,
Nick

I would leave the nesting material where it is - I'd let them play with it.
