Post by CandoAviary » Wed May 27, 2009 1:04 am

I have been trying to breed a tri colored or calico zebra... This is the closest I have come.... pied with black, white, light grey and light brown on tummy.... that is her sister next to her. Aren't they sweet looking?

They are cute for sure! What does her back look like? How old is she? Has she moulted up?

She is close to 1 year old. Her back is a nice medium grey with white pied markings...some light grey,no brown. I will try and get a picture. Her parents were cream mother and grey and white med. pied father. The grandparents were fawn x pied pairing and cream and pied pairing. Great grandparent had a phaoe/isabella pairing. I get few pieds...mostly creams to fawn. There is all kinds of genetics going on here...I just like to see what different strains can produce.....I always wanted a calico...like my cat
