This is a RH male..L in Ontario wrote:Thank you! Isn't it funny - the 2 Orange Heads are siblings from the same clutch. One got the white breast and the other got the purple breast! The orange on their heads is brighter than any I've seen on a Gouldian yet.
Why are there different colourations of orange heads? For example here's one I bought... and lost recently. I still can't get over him.His head was definitely orange but a MUCH deeper orange.
I guess I'll know for sure what he was when his five chicks colour up. He was paired up with an OH/WB/YB hen and it appears there are 3 dilutes and 2 greens. We'll see... Thanks Tiffany.nixity wrote:This is a RH male..L in Ontario wrote:Thank you! Isn't it funny - the 2 Orange Heads are siblings from the same clutch. You can tell by the red beak
It's good to have that outlook, Janine. For me - I couldn't go fast enough!lovemyfinch wrote:They are all georgeous Liz.If ever I learn to figure out the gouldians I've got, I will definately be taking down the train to come and see you and pick up a pair. Just have to figure out my 2 first, don't want to go too fast you know.
Believe me I want to go faster, but, I want to make sure that I am doing it right first. To make sure sure that my feathered friends are all happy and healthy. By reading all the posts I discover just how much I have to learn. Like for example, everyone here talks about S79. The only way I can get it here in Quebec is through the vet, and even then I might not get it, because the birds aren't sick yet.L in Ontario wrote:It's good to have that outlook, Janine.
