Candace,

What a cool idea! My husband was just talking about putting drawings on my very bare walls.

I found a website that sells tall grass that is pretty. How well do they handle being wiped down if things get on them?

Wow Candace, what a story, house, aviary, the whole shebang.
Your aviaries are fabulous, I love the use of Tatouage.

Ditto what Kiko said!

I can't wait for each time you update this posting. I am addicted to your story! This is almost better than summer TV reruns....almost!

I hope to have a bird room once we build our new retirement house. You have given me many good ideas especially using the wall murals. \:D/

Thanks everyone, I am having a blast fiddling around with the aviary.

Misty,
I have not washed the walls yet but the directions say that if you plan on washing a lot of in a heavy traffic area, like the floor then you should seal it afterwards with a sealant. There are many spray sealants so it should be an easy step. But do all that before any birds are introduced. The sealant and aeresol is bad for birds......air out well
I did not seal mine because I have all the perches away from the walls so I am not expecting any poop on the walls. Nest boxes are located on the wire walls or the white high gloss wall.
I am waiting for 2 more orders of different kinds of nest boxes to come in then I will add the birds :D I am planing to put 2 or 3 pair of gouldians, 2 or 3 pair of red throats and some goldbreast.

Well.... my Parrot finches are too young to put together with nest boxes....they may try to breed too soon. And all the gouldians are busy breeding in the bird breeding building...and the goldbreast are all in different stages of breeding in their aviary....so I just had to put something in here so I put Tar Baby and Smudge with a couple of girls :D
They just don't know what to think

Outside of the sliding doors are a few of my unpaired Grasskeets in a 5 foot flight.

Beautiful! I'm sure the birds are just as excited to get into their new abode as you are to see them there. Will be wonderful when they are all in there and comfortable. :D
