My birds have the dried Herb Salad available too. However, I hardly ever see them eat any of that. I have it in a dish (actually a little toy wagon

What dish do you use for it and do your finches really eat the herbs?
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

It is in a 5 inch (~12.5 cm) diameter, 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall round dish. Out of cubans, owls, goulds, and RCCBs, the cubans and owls actually spend time eating in it and particularly when fresh is added.Ursula wrote:Dianna,DVBourassa wrote:Whatever is in Herb Salad. Re: herbs my birds have available
I have tried growing herbs for my birds, but decided it was more trouble than it was worth.
I keep herb salad available at all times. I keep it in a rather wide dish so they can forge around and get what they need. My birds don't gorge on it, but they love to peck around in it.
