Which are darker skinned of newly hatched RCCB and Star babies?

I'm thinking RCCB are dark and hairy, just like BCCB. I believe Stars are pink at first. So tell us, what do you have?

I found this photo I had of a Star finch hatching out. Looks pretty pink and naked to me.

I don't know about Cordon Bleus, but Stars look similar to Gouldians when they hatch....pink.

Well according to both of you - I would have two RCCB's and 1 Star so far. Here's hoping the rest hatch out over the next couple of days.

There is always a silver lining when parents won't incubate their own eggs......

We get to watch them under societies and enjoy seeing their progress with lots of pics. (wink wink)

I'm trying my hardest to give the Soc's privacy as I'm pretty sure one of the hatchlings had a damaged foot (ie missing toe(s)) yesterday. I'm at work now, so if the babies look good tonight I'll see if I can get any pics then. There were none tossed this morning - I just hope they all survive... intact.
