Are these also used during treatment (except for the ones it says not to use it with during treatment) or only after?

Not necessarily, many people use a good probiotic as a preventative to things like yeast and other health related problems.

I use probiotics 2-3 times a week by sprinkling it onto the birds' sprouts.
