what is it???

Post by Meagan83 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 2:59 pm

I saw a finch in a pet store today that I thought about buying just because I had no idea what it was. They had it caged with, and labeled as, Society finch. But the people that owned the place were obviously daft because there was an Indian Silverbill in there also. Any how, it had longer legs and a more upright posture than the societies. It was a solid tan. It had a thick beak like a mannikin. At first I thought, well, if the breeder was housing silverbills and societies it might be a hybrid. But I don't think it would be a cross of those two species becuase it looked slightly taller than the societies. I am at a loss.
