Thank you both Cindy and Renee. I like the those ideas and will give her fresh water with no anitibiotics tomorrow morning. I don't like giving them meds unless absolutely necessary either.

Thanks again to everyone to helping me (and her) through this. I would make a lousy nurse!

Hi Liz,

I was wondering how your patient was doing? Has all the bleeding stopped? Does the wound look like it is healing nicely? You are doing a great job caring for her, keep it up! =D> I hope she continues to do well. She's beautiful by the way.

Thanks all. It's now day 6 after the accident or whatever happened to her and here's a pic of how she is this morning. I think she's about 90% better!

She looks so much better! Maybe she banged into the bars somehow and cut herself open. I wonder if birds are like we are in that a head cut bleeds much more than a cut in other places?

Thank you all - she is out of the hosp cage and in a breeding cage 30x18x18 all by herself. So she has more room to stretch. She had a bath this morning going by the drops all over the water dish. I'll give her something a little more appropriate to bathe in tomorrow.
