Bag o Bugs

Post by skythrutrees » Sat Sep 12, 2009 4:23 pm

I just visited a Bird Fair (TONS of beautiful finches!!!! I almost got a pair of owls...) and picked up something called Bag o Bugs.

It has: Ground rape seed, niger seed, recleaned canary seed, german millet, proso millet, dehydrated and ground up flies, fly larvae, fly pupae, crickets, ant eggs, flax seed, red millet, oat groats, rye grass seeds, sweet pepperseeds, poppy seed, lechtin, and brown sugar.

Anyone used it? Thoughts on it?

Sorry I didn't make myself clear I am sure its a good product if your birds will eat it ,mine just seem to be very choosy what they eat .

I have tried the Bag o Bugs, and like anything else, some of my birds will eat it, others won't touch it. The only way you can tell if yours will eat it is to try it out.

I use it. Order from the same place as B Camp. I mix it with some other stuff, eggfood, orlux insect patee, Feast insectivorous,

I feed it to the parrot finches and goldbreast. The gouldians don't much care for it. They get just plain eggfood.

My Green Singing Finches really liked Bag O' Bugs when they bred. They successfully raised babies with it. I think they liked it better than Insect Pate.
