These first two are of my male Melba and a female black cheek zebra.

I still have 4 eggs in the nest that did not hatch. Should I remove them or let the javas deal with them?

John, your melbas are stunning. You know, I've never given them a second thought before but after looking at your pics I'm starting to consider them.

Re: Few new pictures
Have you found that the melba's are agressive? I have heard not to put them with star finches. They are absolutely beautiful!!!

Re: Few new pictures
I also heard they can be aggressive. I also heard it depends on the pair. I do not have my Stars in the aviary with the Melbas. They are in my aviary with the larger birds. (Javas, Seedeaters, Whydahs, a few Zebras, Bronze Wing Mannikins, Magpie Mannikins, European Goldfinches and similar) I find they keep to themselves and have not bothered anyone. Nor have I seen anyone bother them.dfcauley wrote:Have you found that the melba's are agressive? I have heard not to put them with star finches. They are absolutely beautiful!!!![]()
The reason you don't put them with Star finches is because of the red face. They supposedly show aggression to any bird with red faces.
