Shaftails and RCCB more pics 10/12

Well the cage is ready, I worked on this for about 4 days off and on. The apple blossoms are all attached to the back, there are places to hide under big leafs plants. There is a cement comfy perch with ferns to sit near. My favorite part is the nest box area.

Hope they like it. I just have to figure out who the "they" will be? Shaftails, Diamonds, Stars...........etc. The family is leaning towards Shaftails.

And there is Zoe, watching and waiting for me to finish fussing over the birds and play!

Oh...Cindy.....that is a pretty setup in your cage....I love it! :D

How fun to now decide what to put in there....soooo many choices!

Your little Zoe is just adorable....those big brown eyes just melt my heart!

What is the stuff you have down on the floor of your cage? I am curious!

I usually use the KayTee CozyComfort but Target was out of it. I bought a bag of Aspen instead. I like the Cozy Comfort bedding, you can spread it, pat it down a little and it stays put, doesn't fly out of the cage. The aspen pieces are tiny and some fly out when the birds flutter about. I have the grate on the bottom to keep this contained for now.

Those Cavalier eyes gets Zoe plenty of kisses and treats.

Cindy, Zoe is lovely! Is she a King Charles Spaniel? They are so elegant and darling to look at.

Meagan,

Zoe (1 yrs old) is a very affectionate and bouncy little Cavalier King Charles. I also have a ruby red one named Cali (2 yrs old). Zoe is my constant companion and is always by my side or at my feet. Cali is a bit shy and takes things at her own pace.

They are like finches...you can't have but just one!!!!!

Hubby said only two colors at a time. They come in Black/tan and Blenheim also (like a soft chestnut and white). I would have a houseful of them....that and tons of finches!

That's my thinking to. Hope they aren't to flighty, I like the curious nature of the Owls and Helenas.

Love your tri cavalier. At the grooming shop I groomed one that was 18 years old and another one who was 16 with wheels for the rear legs. She had lost control of the rear movement but she was awesome with her cart....actually I think she move quicker with her wheels than she did before with 4 legs. This is not a breed that is usually in a hurry :D They are a long lived, sweet, snuggly breed. I love them. Then again, I love just about all the breeds..... But I always own mutts. Just works out that way..... strays or shelter dogs.

Love your cage................ anything you put in there is going to look great :D Are gouldians out of the consideration? They are not flighty and would make a great centerpiece :D Okay, sorry, I know you have dwindled it down to a few choices.... Am I bad.
