Great pic John. Your birds are fantastic breeders and nest builders.

Haven't those bronze wings been busy
I love the intricate nest many species weave. I have some bishop weavers and they make awesome hanging pendelums.
The javas look great. Do you have a local mart you sell your birds at? I think you mentioned that you sell your button quails.

Ah they are cute, they are playing shy. Can't wait to see them as they come out and fledge.
The nest looks like a ball of twine, that is really neat the way they constructed it.

That is a big pile of babies! Will be interesting to see how many come out of the nest.

Very cute Java babies. Is that an asparagus fern? I have a nest just like that built in mine, but don't know who built it.

Re: New Pic Of My Java Babies
Yes it is an asparagus fern but it is made of plastic. I have lots of finches that build nest this way. The red ear waxbill builds the same type except on the ground.dfcauley wrote:Very cute Java babies. Is that an asparagus fern? I have a nest just like that built in mine, but don't know who built it.

I believe there are 3-4. The nest box is high up and I can't see inside. I have to hold the camera up over my head and shoot.L in Ontario wrote:Wow - how many Java babies are in there?! That's one complicated nest below!
